Top 50 Twitter Influencers in UAE July 2014

Since June 2013, we were only tracking Influencers In Egypt, this year we started tracking influencers in many countries in the region, today we are starting by United Arab Emirates, publishing the top 50 twitter Influencers in the country

Influencers are: people who are Active, Able to spread their word as far as possible (retweets), and those who Make much buzz on twitter (mentions) in addition to other factors

Data, Duration & Methodology

• More than 5,842,111  tweets were used to derive the original list ( top 1000 ) 
• We tracked tweets/retweets/mentions originating from UAE only 
• Data collected from 23 April to 30 June 2014 
• Non UAE accounts are included since they are being mentioned and their tweets are being retweeted by people living in the UAE
  

Highlights

iF6amowh #4 - The account of "Fatma Mourad" a teenager who have just finished her secondary education, in her second last tweet she said she is very happy to graduate on the 24th of June 2014, while reviewing we questioned the position of this account in the list, she is not popular and her tweets are so personal but after investigation we found many of her tweets in June reaching 6-8k+ retweets, most of them were supplications, sadly after further investigation we found that she died in the same day of her graduation.... God mercy upon her

aziz_q8  #26 - The account of Abdulaziz from Kuwait, a Kuwaiti tweep suffering from cancer and being treated in Boston USA, he used to tweet his daily life with cancer, posting progress and asking people to pray for him, sadly he also died in June
